More than 400 cyclists will be riding the roads of southern Lennox & Addington this Saturday.

Motorists travelling near Bath, South Shore Hay Bay, Dorland, Adolphustown, Conway and Sandhurst are asked to drive with extra caution on Saturday and be aware of cyclists out on the roads as they participate in the 2022 Discover L&A Ride. The exact details of the 56 kilometre route is available at www.DiscoverRide.ca.

Limited tickets are still available for purchase online (until noon on Friday, September 23rd) for $35 each. On event day, tickets can be purchased at the event venue for $40 each, cash only (while quantities last).

The 2022 Discover L&A Ride begins and ends at MacKinnon Brothers Brewing Company in Bath. Participants will ride along paved roads that overlook the water’s edge and authentic Eastern Ontario landscapes. Rest stops along the way include The Hive & Hearthstone, Old Hay Bay Church, Bergeron Estate Winery & Cider Company, 33 Vines, Loyalist Trading Company, Gap Park and Finkle’s Shore Park.

Refreshments – using local ingredients wherever possible – will be available at each stop. At the end of the ride, a glass of beer from MacKinnon Brothers Brewing Company or a beverage from The County Bounty Soda Company will be provided to all registrants, if desired.

The Discover L&A Ride gives visitors a first-hand look at some of the great road cycling opportunities available in Lennox & Addington County, including portions of the extensive ‘County Trails’ network. The County Trails include 12 looping routes consisting of 600 kilometres of paved roadway. Many of the routes offer extended paved shoulders, which is a key benefit for road cyclists. Thousands of riders have experienced the Lennox & Addington County Trails since debuting in 2006.

The 2022 Discover L&A Ride is sure to be a fun day of cycling you won’t want to miss. For more information visit www.DiscoverRide.ca.
