Deseronto woman arrested on outstanding warrant, charged with drug trafficking

The East Region Community Street Crime Unit of the OPP has arrested and charged a female for multiple offenses.

On April 30, just after 3 pm, CSCU members located a female who was wanted on an outstanding warrant exiting a residence on Main Street in Deseronto. CSCU members arrested the female and during a search police found approximately 18 grams of suspected fentanyl, two grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, 24 assorted suspected hydromorphone pills, a needle with suspected crystal methamphetamine, digital scales, and cash were also seized.

As a result of the investigation, Ruby Pringle 36 years old, of Deseronto, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid – two counts
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

The accused was released from custody after being held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on a later date.
