Members of the Lennox and Addington OPP have charged one person with cruelty to animals.
In July of this year, officers received reports of an injured animal and animal abuse at a residence in Deseronto. With assistance from Animal Welfare Services and Animal Control, an investigation was completed and an arrest was made on Aug 2, 2022.
As a result a 39- year-old man from Deseronto, was charged with:
• Cruelty to animals – unnecessary pain, suffering or injury
• Cause damage or injury to animal or bird – fail to provide suitable/adequate food, water, care, shelter
The accused is in custody and awaiting a bail hearing.
