An apparent altercation between two men resulted in one man being taken to hospital and another being charged by police.
At 9:24 p.m. last Thursday night, the Napanee OPP and Tyendinaga Police Service responded to a call regarding a disturbance at a housing complex on Highway 49 on the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
Investigation revealed that an altercation occurred between a 46-year-old man and a 52-year-old man who were known to each other. The younger man was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The 52-year-old, a Deseronto resident, was charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and uttering a threat to cause bodily harm.
The accused was taken into custody and is scheduled to appear in provincial court on Tuesday.
