COMARTIN, Clifford “Cliff”
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Cliff on Saturday, May 13, 2023 on his 74th birthday. Loving and cherished husband of 50 years to Kathy (nee Yarrow) of Napanee. Proud and adored father of Amy Hinchey (Adam) of Napanee. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Dianne O’Brien (Terry) of Mount Albert, Donna Leadbetter (Michael) of Newmarket and his brother Joe Comartin (Pat) of South Carolina. Pre-deceased by his parents Ernest & Elsie Comartin. He will be affectionately missed by his furry friend and companion Max.
Many folks in the community will remember Cliff for his many jokes and charismatic smile he always wore. He enjoyed his 35 years with Canada Post as mail carrier in Napanee after his transfer from Toronto. It wasn’t long after his retirement before Cliff decided to obtain his school bus licence and drive for Martin’s Bus Service. The many school kids and parents adored him as many friendships continued to develop. Cliff will be forever missed and always remembered by the many school kids, parents, former postal workers, Twin Cedars family, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. You will be missed our dear friend. Cremation has taken place with Milestone Cremation Services.
A Graveside Service and burial of his urn will take place at St. Anthony’s of Padua Cemetery, Centerville on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 10:30 am. A Gathering of Family and Friends will follow at the Napanee Lions Hall from 1-4 pm to celebrate his life with food and raise a glass in his honour.
