Classic autos will meet vintage snowmobiles June 17-18 at the Fairgrounds for a one-of-a-kind event known as Napanee Car Craze/Sleigh Daze Flea Market 2023.

A continuation of last year’s successful Napanee Car Show and Flea Market, this year’s event has expanded to include an array of snow machines.

“We had (snowmobiles) there last year, we were just trying it out,” said Bill Wilkinson, who returns to organize this year’s event. “People really liked it with the old snowmobiles and new models. I got a lot of good comments about it so we partnered up with them this year.”

Teaming with the Antique Snow Machines Canada organization figures to provide a new spin on the already popular classic car show format.

“It’s one of a kind that I know of anyway,” said Wilkinson. “I’ve never heard of anything like it.”

Last year saw over 100 classic vehicles from all eras line the grass at the fairgrounds.

Once again proceeds from car registration and gate fees will go towards the Ride For Dad, which funds life saving research in the fight against prostate cancer. Last year’s event brought in $5,000. A representative from the charity will be on hand to help take part in the opening ceremonies at 11 a.m. on Saturday as well as an appearance from Greater Napanee mayor Brian Calver.

Registration will begin the Friday before the event and gates will open to the public June 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday will be geared towards families with magician Rob Driscoll on site to entertain the kids, as well as vehicle displays from Greater Napanee Emergency Services, the Lennox and Addington OPP and the Town of Greater Napanee.

Classic automobile owners looking to take part in the event or vendors interested in setting up a booth that weekend can register at www.NapaneeCarShow.com.

The cost to register as a vendor is $40 and $10 to register a classic vehicle. The cost to the public is $5 per person, free for kids.
