Children’s singer Gary Rasberry to perform at Macpherson House July 27

Macpherson House & Park continues its jam-packed event schedule with a variety of entertainers this summer.

The next musical performance will feature Juno-nominated artist children’s musician Gary Rasberry on July 27 at 2 p.m.

Rasberry has been a fixture on the Canadian music and arts scene for over three decades. A noted artist-educator, Rasberry has held artist-in-residences internationally, and regularly travels the country as a VIA Rail Artist on Board, from Halifax to Vancouver, stopping along the way to perform at schools and festivals. He is a published poet and internationally recognized singer-songwriter and teaches at the Faculty of Education at Queen’s University.

On July 27 he will perform favourites such as “At the Drive Thru” and “Who Loves You?!?”. It will be a fun and festive afternoon suitable for all ages.

Attendees are asked to bring their own lawn chair or blanket to this outdoor performance. The performance will take place under an event tent. The cost to attend is $3/person. Macpherson House opens at 1 p.m., and the show will begin at 2 p.m. Guests are encouraged to come early with a picnic and enjoy the riverfront beauty of Macpherson House Park before the show.Macpherson House is located at 180 Elizabeth Street in Napanee.
