Chadwick’s Team Horgan splits first two games at Olympic curling trials in Saskatoon

Team Horgan is 1-1 after two days of play at the Tim Horton’s Canadian Olympic trials, going on this week in Saskatoon.

After conceding a 9-2 defeat in the opening draw against Kevin Koe, the Kingston-based rink rebounded with a 6-5, 11 end win over Brendan Bottcher on Sunday afternoon.

Napanee’s Scott Chadwick, lead of the Horgan rink, shot 95 per cent in the match. Horgan picked up two points to tie in the 10th to push the game to 11.

Team Horgan will take on Team Gunnlaugson at 3 p.m. eastern on Monday afternoon in a game that can be seen on TSN.

The winner of the tournament will earn the right to represent Canada at 2022 Olympics in Beijing, China.
