A positive case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in a staff or student at Napanee’s J.J. O’Neill Catholic School.
The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board announced the case on Tuesday afternoon.
The Board said it would not specify if the person is a student of staff member at the school in the interest of maintaining privacy. A positive case among a student or staff member doesn’t mean the individual was exposed to the virus at the school.
“In the event that one of our local public health units advises the Board that a class or school should be closed for a period of time, parents/guardians, students and staff will be notified,” the board wrote on its website.
