Canada’s women’s rugby sevens team ended their Tokyo Olympics on a high note, picking up a 24-10 victory over Kenya to finish ninth overall.

Charity Williams opened the scoring for Canada with a try followed by Bianca Farella to put the Canadians up 14-0. The Kenyans scored late in the half to keep it close.

Canada didn’t let up in the second however as Farella added another followed by Ghislaine Landry. Napanee’s Britt Benn played strong defense in the second half to limit Kenya to one try in the second half.

Canada finished the tournament 3-2 overall.
