Noah Brant, Jonny Hill and Eric Holland each scored a pair of goals as the Deseronto Bulldogs extended their win streak to seven with a 9-3 win over the Centre Hastings Ice Miners in Marmora on Saturday.

Deseronto scored five times in the first and never looked back en route to the lopsided victory. Zack Masteron, Taylor Best and Mitchell Merry also found the back of the net for the red-hot Bulldogs, while Best added four assists to make for a five point night.

Despite the large lead Bulldogs goalie Bailey Maracle still had to work for the win, stopping 42 pucks on the night.

With the win the Bulldogs improve to 7-1 on the season and have opened up a four point lead over the second place Smith Falls Rideaus (5-1-0-1) in the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League’s West Division. The Gananoque Islanders are third (4-2) with the Tweed Oil Kings in fourth (3-3).

The Bulldogs will look to keep up their franchise best winning streak when they welcome the Frontenac Phantoms to the Deseronto Community Rec Centre on Nov. 18. Puck drop is 6:30 p.m.

The Phantoms are currently last in the West Division with a record of 1-7.
