Bossio to visit Friends of the Napanee River

The Friends of the Napanee River Watershed welcome Hastings- Lennox and Addington MP Mike Bossio to its annual meeting Saturday.

The group will be celebrating two years of engaging local residents, farmers, and landowners to learn about the benefits of preserving the watershed, its headwaters, rivers, and streams.

Bossio, the chair of the federal government’s rural caucus and its environment and Indigenous Affairs committees will discuss recent research funding for the Napanee watershed,Wilton Creek, and Hay Bay and discuss the government’s environmental priorities. Questions can be submitted in advance at info@friendsnapaneeriver.ca.

The meeting will be at the Newburgh Community Hall from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
