Citing a recent spike in COVID-19 cases, the Greater Napanee BIA has announced it will be cancelling the holiday themed Where is Merry Marg and cookie crawl events.
Announced last month as part of a the BIA’s holiday program, the Where is Merry Marg would have encouraged people to search out a photo of Greater Napanee Mayor Marg Isbester located at various shops in Downtown Napanee. Those that spotted her at the most locations were entered into a draw to win a prize. The BIA had also planned a cookie crawl, which would have seen shoppers visiting downtown stores and collecting cookies from each venue.
The BIA says they will continue with their planned Decorating Contest, which encourages stores to get creative with Christmas trees located outside their shops, as well as the Holiday Shopping Party on Dec. 4.
