The RFLA Allied health team is hosting a local group for those with COPD to get together and hear from an educated respiratory professional, May 16 at 1 p.m.
It is a fun social event where everyone is welcome, they can come to ask questions, meet new people and find a new technique or trick that they can use at home to manage their breathing better.
Its a really great place to get people together who are experiencing the same things, and that community of people can really help to support each other.
The group is called Better Breathers and the respiratory speaker this month will be Eric from InspiAir who organized and implemented the idea.
Eric will also be running a free CPAP clinic on May 16 if anyone needs assistance with their sleep machine, mask or other equipment, or has questions about sleep apnea and the treatment process. He does a free CPAP clinic once a month at the Lenadco complex.
