Residents near Bath looking for a free family fun day on Sept. 1 need look no further than Finkle’s Shore Park.

Running from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. the park will be host to a Live Music Sundays event. The official Loyalist Township Recreation Department will be onsite with their Come Out and Play trailer which is loaded with giant-sized kids toys the whole family can enjoy.

Amherst Island Radio 92.1 FM’s Eric Tremblay is hosting an incredible lineup of performers which is sponsored by FryWay 33 in celebration of their new mobile truck expansion to Kingston.

“We are located right next to Fryway 33 which has become a staple to the community in Bath,” expressed Bon Evans, organizer/host of Live Music Sundays. “FryWay 33 had their mobile truck grand opening in Kingston with the mayor visiting to cut the ribbon. These events would not be the same without their staff providing top of the line food.”

Each Sunday members of Live Music Sundays organize three different performances. The performances range from solo, acoustic and folk to full five piece bands.

The only current method of advertising Live Music Sunday’s weekly performers if through their Facebook page.

As for performers for Sept. 1st, at 4 p.m. Sweetiepies, which is a Kingston local couple who provide kids entertainment with newly released music, will take the stage.

At 5 p.m. Teagan McLaren, a solo acoustic performer who brings her own original twist to country music will entertain followed by Jason Berezny at 6 p.m., featuring Van Sheen and Terry Snider in a three piece act which will keep the crowd entertained.

Other noteworthy upcoming shows include, Sept. 15 with Brock Young, Alexa Goldie and Abby Atewart and Sept. 22 with Dave Bull, Doug VanderHorden and Logan Brown.

“I donate my time to organizing and hosting these events because they are crucially needed in our small community,” said Evans. “History has proven that it’s imperative to provide a place for the community to gather. We build connections and communicate with our neighbours which allows us to work towards a better tomorrow.”

Sponsors for the events include Amherst Island 92.1 FM radio, Joe Chithalens Musical Lending Library (Joe’s M.I.L.L.) and MacKinnon Brothers Brewery. For more information on the Live Music Sundays program, visit www.facebook.com/livemusicsundays/.
