Bath residents Ted Robinson and Jericho Mordasiewicz made waves for charity on Aug. 28, swimming from Amherst Island to Bath.

The pair jumped into the lake Ontario waters from Emerald at 9 a.m. and arrived on the shores of Bath in just over an hour to a cheering crowd. In total they swam just under 4 km.

The swim was a fundraiser for HIV/AIDS Regional Services in Kingston, for which Robinson is on the board of directors. A total of $6,715 was raised through donations.

Robinson says he’s already making plans for another swim next year, exploring the possibility of swimming from Bath to Amherst Island and back again.
