On April 18, a 49-year-old inmate currently incarcerated at Bath Institution was arrested and charged with counsel to commit murder.
An investigation commenced in August 2019 with members of the Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad and Correctional Services Canada (CSC) under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
The accused appeared for bail court at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston on April 19. His next court appearance has been scheduled for May 8, 2020 in Napanee.
A publication ban has been imposed by the courts and as a result, the accused cannot be named.
