The Bath Artisans are back with their Spring Delights art Show n’ Sale at St. Johns Hall in Bath.

The Show n’ Sale will take place on April 29 and 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Out of the 39 members of the Bath Artisans, 18 of those artists will be in the show.

Carol Jackson, interim chair of the Bath Artisans, expressed the importance of art for both artists and visitors to the shows.

“When the Bath Artisans have shows, we encourage our members to participate in order for them to showcase their amazing talent,” Jackson said. “In return, both artists and visitors get to interact and discover what an amazing opportunity this presents for both parties to get to know a little bit about each other. In addition, families who come with young children, who may have a budding artist “at heart”, our event allows those inquisitive young minds to see and explore multiple forms of art.“

Although this is the second year for this event, the Bath Artisans also host a July and November show yearly, at the church hall in Bath.

“Of the 18 participating artists in this year’s Spring show, advertised as Spring Delights, we will have a large variety of art in the form of – fused glass, photography, silk, cards, pottery, wood turning and paintings/hanging art done in watercolour, oils, acrylics, mixed media, charcoal, ink and pastels, added Jackson.”

Jackson is a local artist and resides in Odessa. When she retired, she started her artistic journey, working with a variety of mediums – acrylics, oils, charcoal, pastels, watercolour, and mixed mediums; exploring and enjoying the many facets of art.

She is thrilled when people make a connection with any of her pieces, such as instilling a feeling of joy, calmness, familiarity of a place, or a memory. She says the connections the viewer makes, is a compliment that she greatly appreciates, and it is an incentive for her to continue creating.

“Visitors have the opportunity to meet and interact, in person, with the local artists,” Jackson expressed. “Maybe, a guest will be drawn to a special creation, purchase it, take it home, and display it so they can share their new found treasure with others. This also creates a ripple effect which provides the opportunity that they, their family and friends, can connect with us at future events. We strive to provide an enjoyable experience for both our members and the community.”
