Local artists from a variety of mediums will be displaying their work at St. John’s Hall this weekend during the 28th annual Bath Artisans Art Show.

Running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, the show will feature hundreds of pieces of artwork up for sale.

“There’s a wide variety, very diverse subjects,” said Donna Roberston, a founding member of the Bath Artisans. “We have more and more members. There’s going to be 26 exhibitors.”

All of the art is created by area artists who meet at St. John’s Hall once a week to work on their craft. The show will make for the perfect opportunity for anyone looking to get a jump on holiday shopping.

“There’s wooden bowls, glass, jewellery,” said Robertson. “There’s quite a variety.”

During the show there will be a draw for a progressive painting, which is a piece of art that is the cumulative work of dozens of artists. They each add their own contribution to the canvas to create a unique finished product.

The Bath Artisans meet each Monday and anyone is welcome to join their group. For more information visit www.BathArtisans.Info.

St. John’s Hall is located at 212 Church Street in Bath.
