Eight different Napanee Raiders stretched the twine tonight as they rolled over the visiting Amherstvew Jets 8-3.

Ryan Casselman, Brodie Maracle, Josh Murphy and Justynn Steven each notched a goal in the first, followed by Cullen Hinds in the second for a comfortable 5-0 lead.

Amherstview’s Colin Migneault scored with just a second to spare in the middle frame to end Napanee’s string of five unanswered goals. Cody Thompson scored the 6:30 mark of the third as the Jets attempted to whittle away. Any thoughts of a comeback were quickly extinguished however when Austin Labelle and Devon King each scored just 19 second apart for the Raiders to push the lead to 7-2. Ty Norman added another for the Jets only to be offset by Napanee’s Griffen Conger to close out the 8-3 victory.

Nicholas Nabuurs earned the win, stopping 26 Jet shots. Hayden Ford took the loss, turning away 33 pucks.

These clubs will meet again Sunday when Napanee travels to Amherstview for a 7:30 p.m. showdown. On Saturday several of the Raiders will take part in Napanee’s Parade of Lights.
