Avril Lavigne announced via her official Twitter account that three shows on the Canadian leg of her tour will have to be postponed due to a COVID-19 exposure within the tour.

“To my fans in Laval, QC, Moncton, NB and Halifax, NS, we are sincerely sorry to let you know that we are postponing these shows due to a positive COVID case within the tour and subsequent exposures,” Lavigne posted to Twitter.

Her show in Laval has been pushed to May 7 while new dates for the Moncton and Halifax shows, which were to take place tomorrow and Wednesday, are yet to be announced.

The Napanee native is currently scheduled to play Ottawa’s TD Place Arena on May 9, the closest she’ll get to her hometown during the tour.

In February of this year Lavigne released Love Sux, her highest rated album to date among music critics.
