Atura Power sponsors Greater Napanee’s skate programs

Atura Power’s Napanee Generating Station has stepped up to sponsor several of the Town of Greater Napanee’s public skating programs for the remainder of the year. Those include the Parent N’ Me, Adult, Senior, Shift Worker’s Hockey, Shinny Hockey and Open Figure Skating, as well as numerous free public skates. Those programs have seen a rise in participation this year, with public skating jumping from 20 participants to over 70 participants, seniors going from five to 20 and the parents and kids skate rising from two to 12. On Wednesday the town welcomed Atura Power administrative associate Sue Miller and Napanee Generating Station operations manager Kevin Hillman, along with Greater Napanee CAO John Pinsent to unveil a new sign at the Strathcona Paper Centre as thanks for Atura’s sponsorship.
