The Atom B Napanee Crunch qualified for the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League Best of the Best championship tournament. They did this by beating the Whitby Wolves, four points to two in their three game series.
They clinched the series win by tying Whitby on Sunday, 1-1. The lone goal was scored by Alexa Tyner on a great pass from Brooklyn Alaver to set her up for a breakaway. Tyner buried the shot top shelf. Mikenna Ford was nearly flawless in goal. Only five teams out of the 51 team league qualify for the championship tournament which will be held this weekend in Toronto.
– The Peewee B Crunch are tuning up for provincial championships by playing exhibition games They played against the West Northumberland Wild on Sunday and won 3-1. Goals were scored by Nicole Geenevasen, Kaya Richardson and Annie Stewart. Assists came from Taryn Landine and Hailey Bauder.
