Peacefully at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital in Napanee on Saturday, May 20, 2023. Donald Frank Asselstine, formerly of Marlbank, at age 86. Beloved husband of Evelyn Asselstine (Dafoe). Dear father of Heather Brown (Brad) of Napanee; Susan Armstrong (Ralph) of Newburgh; Brenda Herrington (Don) of Centreville; and Penny Simkins (Randy) of Enterprise. Grandfather of Greg Brown (Julie); Derek Brown (Olivia); Donald Armstrong (Victoria); Kevin Armstrong (Sarah); Micayla Caird (Shane); Sarah McCutcheon; and Elisha Dyck (Zachery). Great-grandfather of Sloane; Chloe; Ella; Easton; Kendall; Hannah; Hunter and Emma; Autumn; and Halina. Brother of Beulah Beatty; Anna Baxter; and the late Tom Asselstine and June Dewer. Brother-in-law of the late Vivian Switzer (Bill of Roblin). Predeceased by parents Frank and Jean Asselstine. The family will receive friends at the Hannah Funeral Home, 123 Dundas St. W., Napanee, on Friday, May 26 from 10 – 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment Roblin Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital Foundation or Evangel Temple, Napanee would be appreciated by the family.
