Late Sunday night officers with the Napanee OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Hwy 401 eastbound in Loyalist Township that caused a closure of the eastbound lanes of the 401 near Odessa.
The driver of the tractor trailer was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being extricated from the wreckage by paramedics and Loyalist Township Fire and Rescue. A small diesel fuel spill was contained at the scene. One lane of the 401 was closed, however, all lanes are now open.
A 50-year old male from Mississauga has been charged with careless driving.
