AKEY, Bernice Helen (Benn)
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bernice Helen Akey (Benn) at the Lennox and Addington Hospital at the age of 96 on December 18, 2023. Wife of the late Thomas Robert Akey and loving mother of Shirley Millar (Rodger), Sharon Dore (Jacques), Sheila Abrams (the late Gerry), Sylvia Sonneveld (Lenard) and Thomas Akey Jr (Corrine). She will be lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandson. She was predeceased by her parents Helen and Orsen Benn and siblings Orvil, Harvey, Don, Marie, Hazel and Lyle. Bernice was a strong Christian and she loved her church and serving the Lord. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A graveside service will take place at a later date for her family.
