Police investigating as suspected firearm fired at house on Bayshore Road in Tyendinaga First Nations

On Saturday officers of the Tyendianaga Police Service assisted by the members of Lennox & Addington OPP responded to an incident where projectiles struck a residence on Bayshore Road in Tyendinaga First Nations.

The investigation thus far indicates that at approximately 11:25 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022, unknown suspect(s) in a grey Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) or van parked on Bayshore Road and attended on foot a property nearby. The suspect(s) fired projectiles into the home and then fled westbound in the Grey vehicle.

Witness heard loud noises consistent with the sound of firearms and no one was injured in the incident.

OPP are asking anyone with exterior video or photographic footage in the areas of Bayshore Road or other areas nearby to review their cameras between 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022 and 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2022, to see if a vehicle or suspect(s) noted above appears on their footage.
