Lennox and Addington County OPP, along with Lennox and Addington County OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) seized illegal drugs, a weapon and cash at a home in Deseronto.
OPP members executed a search warrant at a Mill Street residence on the Wednesday morning as part of an ongoing investigation. Officers seized:
$3,310 Canadian currency
Suspected cocaine
Suspected methamphetamine
12 gauge shotgun
Ammunition
Bear spray
Items utilized in the trafficking of street drugs
Computer peripherals
As a result of the investigation, two accused have been charged.
A 25-year-old man of Deseronto has been charged with:
Careless storage of firearm
Unauthorized possession of a firearm
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- two counts
A 29-year-old man of Kingston is charged with:
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine
Both accused have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee in June, 2020
