Carter Free

Thank you

Our apologies for the long silence, but now that everything has settled for the X Country running season, we are taking the time to say thank you to everyone that has supported Carter Free in our Fundraising to help him get to Abbotsford, B.C. for the X Country Nationals November 2019. Carter ran up a level in the senior men’s in hope for a spot on the National Team, running with Olympians, Team Canada Members, University and College Champions. Carter was also asked to represent Team Ontario at the Nationals. Carter finished in 18th place out of 100 runners in his first ever 10 km race, seconds behind the lead runners and the youngest runner. Carter also helped Team Ontario come home with a Gold Medal!

Special thanks to The Napanee Valley Cruisers, The Napanee Lions Hall, Jamie & Jaclyn’s No Frills (helping at the Pan Am Games) as well as countless other individual supporters that helped make this trip possible. We loved all the messages and calls we received to support Carter on his journey. Thank you to everyone who donated gift baskets to the fundraiser.

As Carter has posted on social media many times, “I would not be able to do my running financially without all the support I have gotten from family, friends and the community. I appreciate your support very much”.

Love, Carter Free and the Alkenbrack/Free family.
