It’s sure to be an entertaining evening at this edition of Tuesday Night at the Museum. On Tuesday, April 21st at 7pm, join Stephen Wenn as he presents Sport Personalities, Celebrities, and Rivalries: Enriching Canada’s Social History. Stephen Wenn, a Professor in Wilfrid Laurier University’s Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education, will explore how examining the sporting exploits of well-known Canadian athletes can add to the tapestry of the nation’s social history. About the Presenter: Dr. Wenn is in his 27th year at Wilfrid Laurier University as a faculty member in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education.  He completed his BA and MA degrees (Physical Education) at Western University and his PhD (Exercise and Sport Science) at The Pennsylvania State University.  He is co-author of Selling the Five Rings: the International Olympic Committee and the Rise of Olympic Commercialism (2002, rev. ed., 2004), and lead author of Tarnished Rings: The International Olympic Committee and the Sale Lake City Bid Scandal (2011), and The Gold in the Rings: The People and Events that Transformed the Olympic Games (2020, in press).
