The Deseronto and District Historical Society is hosting a presentation by Bobby Jo Morris called “Deseronto: Now and Then”.  It is a great look back when the Rathbun family built Deseronto and moved into the surrounding region regarding their diverse industrial enterprises including a railway and shipping company. The presentation will take place at Deseronto United Church, Saturday Dec. 21 at 2 pm and is about an hour in duration.  This same presentation was given in Belleville for Hastings County HS and the place was packed with over 150 people.  We are asking people to register at www.deserontohistory.com so we can determine number of people planning to attend. The event is free but donations are gratefully accepted and light refreshments will be served.
