Atom BB Stars invited to Silver Stick Finals in Sarnia

The Napanee Joyce’s Meat and Deli Atom BB Stars made it 18 wins in a row, with five games left in league play as they dominated Gananoque 7-2 on the road. They also learned that they were invited to play in the Silver Stick Finals in Sarnia in early in 2019.

-The Peewee BB Stars had their win streak stopped at 16 after a strong Frontenac Flyers squad defeated them 4-2 on Sunday. The Stars got an early lead thanks to a solo rush by Jayden Holden just 28 seconds in. Exactly two minutes later, Zered Haller added to the Stars’ total. The second period was all Flyers however as the guests tallied three times and added another to start the third period.  Nic Campeau had a hat trick in their 5-2 win in Wellington one day earlier.

-With only two games left in the regular season, the Peewee AEs played a home-and-home with Gananoque and earned a split.  Saturday they lost 8-2 at the Strathcona Paper Centre, but Sunday in Gananoque, they avenged their loss with a 5-2 triumph.

-The Atom AEs had another tough weekend losing 7-0 in Picadilly, and then they were shut out at home 8-0 by Gananoque.

-The Novice BBs lost on Saturday 5-2 at the W.J. Henderson Arena facing Loyalist. In a tight match on Sunday, the locals were upended 3-2 by Centre Hastings.
